In memory...................
This week, I've been reminded again of the importance of photographs. As, many of you know, this week, I said goodbye to my Uncle Tom and Aunt Connie. A lot of things have changed. Many more things are about too, but these moments are mine forever.
This first shot was from when I was just getting started about, oh, I'd say four summers ago. We were at a family reunion and they asked that I come out with them and get a picture of them together. If they look lovely dovey........that's because they were. This shot happened in November at our after Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving dinner. I've never been so glad to have a picture. I also now understand why my eyes seems to disappear when I smile. ;)
Photography is many, many things to me. One of my favorite things about it though is the chance to freeze time. I know it's written on my website, but seriously, one of my most valued things in the world is a photograph of my father holding me in his arms when I was one at my Aunt's wedding. I write this to remind you that moments are fleeting. Get your camera out and go get those moments. If it's important to you, then it's a good picture.
